Ron Privett Band

Ron Privett BandRon Privett was raised on Fiddle.  It was the instrument his Cowboy Troubadour father played around the house for the family. By the time he was 22 years old, Ron had decided that he would make a career from what he loved – playing Fiddle and Guitar.  He went from Arizona college bars and pizza joints to bluegrass bands in the San Francisco Bay area to western swing bands and blues in Austin, Texas returning to co-found the David Privett band with Jeff David.  A few years later he formed the Ron Privett Band and for the past 25 years has been working at resorts and concert venues, opening for Alabama and Dwight Yoakum and playing on stage with Mickey Gilley and best of all, Roy Rogers.

The Ron Privett Band specializes in Western Swing and Country Western standards taking their audience back to the best of the cowboy era with Waylon, Willie and the boys thrown in for good measure.  Ron is a first class fiddler, guitarist, mandolin player and Cowboy Balladeer.  An evening with the Ron Privett Band is a real western experience.
