I picked up my first cue
in Mesa, Arizona at 10 years of age. My competitiveness was
sparked the first time someone attempted a table challenge.
My heart was with that table and with winning! By my 13th
birthday I won my first local championship (a 95% male tournament),
and had the honor of a front-page feature in the Arizona Republic.
I was also nominated “Female Player of the Year”.
This was a great turning point in my life in which I realized
my dream of being a champion and to bring interest to the
sport. I absolutely love the interaction with spectators that
coincides with a good game.
At that time I cut other extra curricular activities such
as synchronized swimming and violin. Billiards became my primary
focus. I proceeded to tackle local championships with a hunger,
and found myself on a quest for knowledge. I wanted to know
how to play the game and win.

I had the privilege of playing the Jr. Nationals, placing
4th two years consecutively. After a break to reflect on my
career goals, I returned to the Jr. Nationals at age 18, and
placed 4th once more.
At 24, thanks to the love, patience, and support of my family,
I am now the Arizona State Female Billiards Champion. I have
maintained this title 3 years consecutively. This proves to
be difficult at times, but carries a great reward! I feel
if you have the blessing of God given talent, you are obligated
to pursue it and follow through with your dreams. My dream
is to become a world champion!
